RRC Activity 2019

Red Ribbon Club is financially supported by Kerala State AIDS Control Society for their activities. The club members are active in spreading the message of good health, especially among villagers. The club organizes several programs to conscientize the general public about hygienic way of life, imrpoving the quality of life etc. Members of the club also organize various competitions like debate, essay writing, speech, etc. to spread the message of the club.

National Voluntary Blood Donation Day -2019

Red Ribbon Club of Don Bosco College Angadikadavu, organized a documentary film show for giving awareness on blood donation and a Quiz competition on 1st October 2019 with the theme of " Atleast donate once in a lifetime". Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by the government of India in educational institutes through which students will create awareness about different social issues like blood donation, HIV Aids, etc. 


About 46 students of the college from the first and second year of MCA participated in this event. 

The event was organized by Desny Antony, Coordinator of Red Ribbon Club and student members of the college. On the occasion, Desny Antony, Coordinator of Red Ribbon Club delivered the welcome speech and Principal Fr. Antony John given an introduction about this program. He said that blood donation was one of the most significant contributions that a student could make towards the society. “It is not harmful to an adult person to donate blood,” he said, adding that the body of the donor could regenerate the blood within a few days. “We must keep an attitude of donating blood up at any cost. He explained the objectives of blood donation and its advantages.



After that, there is a documentary film show and quiz competition conducted by Red Ribbon Club.
